Each year, approximately hundreds of babies are abandoned in the newborn departments in Israeli hospitals. These babies are usually doomed for a prolonged stay in the hospital, with no devoted parental treatment.
The "First Hug" Association was established in 2004 in order to provide babies with the emotional worm embrace, touch, caress and love that are so necessary for their well being and development
